Has to be Vic Reeves for me...

Shouting and witless clowning never worked for me. There has always been a sense of the emperors new clothes about Shooting Stars etc. As if people thought they ought to be laughing because someones banging a frying pan on his head and shouting...

I could watch vic reeves solid for the next twenty year (well i couldnt really..) and be totally stone faced throughout. hes like the show off kid at school who needed to be pushed under a bus

The little ive seen of Jimmy Carr is best kept that way too...

Bernard Manning is a skilled comedian. You dont have to like him at all and some jokes will be offensive of course, without being funny>some will be offensive and very very funny

But he does not shy away from any target and his timing is superb.

im less exposed to JD, but he does what he does well i suspect

Sweaty Lee Evans - not only physically offputting, but behaving like a shrieking chimp on acid isn't inherently funny. I agree with most of the others, though I think of Ricky Gervais as a comedy actor rather than a comedian. Walliams and Lucas likewise.
