Leopardstown Christmas Meeting

One of the many reasons why I love this game is that it so consistently refuses to follow the narrative so many try to impose on it.

I'd say they have overachieved with this horse-beat a below par GDC in March -33/1 shot in my book.
Without him in the Gold Cup last year.
Galopin would have won his 3rd Gold Cup by 15 lengths.

He’s a good horse in crooked hands

Real life has intervened and I'll not make it to Leopardstown today, sadly.

Here are the bets I would have had.

4x Trebles and Accum
12.10 Lazare de Star 8/13
12.40 The Nagger Reidy 5/1
13.20 Soldier in Milan 3/1
15.40 Bentraghill

Good luck.
Soldier cost me a nice holiday in the sun.

All about opinions -I can't see him getting competitive next March -and I have a lot of respect for Cromwell as a target trainer.
I find it hard to think he won't be competitive and this horse is one you judge not with your eyes but by it being a one day per year horse

Coming round to the fact connections have had it ‘right’ two years in a row when it matters and following that route now.

The graded Langer Dan. One day only matters. Least we get a price now

Obviously the odds are stacked against either but, if Anzadam wins today, I'll laugh.

And if Irancy prevails I may have trouble breathing for some considerable time.

Does yet another opportunity to apparently forget who all the connections of all the runners are, only to remember them again after the race, beckon?

Bring it on!

I've backed Anzadam Ian - I'm taking the opinion that his weak finishing at Newcastle was a first time out blowout rather than a temperamental issue. The front two are both opposable for differing reasons.

I took a chance on Coyote Spirit EW in 12:47 Leopardstown. MJ Kenneally an eye catching booking for Elliott. Ma Jacks Hill weak enough in the market despite having Kennedy on.

I couldn't back Lossiemouth at odds on -I wasn't impressed with her in the Morgiana.Anzadam was as big as 12s on betfair-Joe Donnelly horses don't drift and win.
Brighterdaysahead for me.

Good finish although the race changed a bit when the nutjob Anzadam took off like that - second ran a blinder too on debut.
