Leopardstown Sunday

Wasn't that brilliant on RTE? Ted Walsh telling Andy Mc to go down and help them re-saddle Pairofbrowneyes. When he gets there he says "Between the four of you ye could saddle up an elephant".

You just don't get that on C4.

bit of rawness.

RTE allow their sports presentation to reflect reality

LW was never going to be suited by hitting the front before the turn. I think Carlingford Lough is being underrated. He's hardly exposed.

Matt Champan interviewing WPM on ATR just now - Asking him about Un De Sceaux last season:
"Do you feel that you should have gone for the champion Hurdle and you didn't have the balls to go for it?"
Straight to his face... In fairness to Willie, he just laughed and said 'Thanks Matt'....

Brilliant -at least Chapman had the balls to ask the question.

Great racing day, probably the best on the Irish calender year on year.
Fine results all around; many connections fancy their chances in the Gold Cup once again.
Apache my highlight for strictly ante post reasons.
Charles O Briens' Juvenile third the one I will take from the race; an Arctic Fire type of run.
Do not be too surprised if JP buys him soon.
Hunters Chase an absolute cracker of a race, Salsify could become a Foxhunters' legend next month !
Great to meet Chronic , Grey , An Capall and Brian again.
Thirty days of dreaming left!

I'd have thought Prussian Eagles run might have a bit of a fluke look to it so he may be exploitable next time out.

i'll guess that vercingetoris got struck into there before 2 out..went from travelling to ailing after that incident

He was wearing a first-time tongue strap today, which wasn't a great sign.

Leopardstown racegoers have been spoiled in recent weeks with the Fly and AP performing their scripted roles to perfection. I feel lucky to have been there even though I didn't have a winning bet all day. There was good company on both days too from some of our forumites, you know who you are. Sorry you couldn't be there today, frontrunner.

I was watching the Novice Chase with assembled family. As they approached the last, five in a line, all looking for a stride at the fence that could win the thing number 4 brother remarked.."This is why we love racing."

Summed it up perfectly.

It was a brilliant afternoon's racing and I'm jealous of those who were there. The only time I've been over for the meeting was the year it was rained off!
