Why do some of the largest UK bookmakers use oul moustachioed codgers to represent their brand? Labrokes and Corals do... not sure about Hills...even Oddschecker have one now....

I've wondered about that myself.
Plus the noisiness of them all? I usually switch away or turn the TV guide on when they come on.
There was/is something catchily annoying about the BT/David Bedford ads. There's clearly some thought and effort gone into them though.
Could they be targeting the pink market?
