Melbourne Here I Come

I am sure your investors will insist that you give up the drink from now until the poker is finished, Lord H.

Don't blame you!!!

I never drink alcohol when I'm playing cards.

Give up the drink? The man is so miserable he stayed off underage drinking in advance of a game of two bob pitch and toss.

If you're near La Bar Traviata the chances of finding me there are fairly high - I'll buy you a "Bert" measure if I see you there! Of course I could just be flirting madly with the lovely Damon (him of the Audi TT as Kri may remember!!!) instead......B)

Aha, so now we have it - the old 'buy shares in a gentleman' scam rears its head!

That's a brilliant result in itself, Brian, never mind what further glory may lie ahead. Right, who's opening the book on our very own Big Banstead Bri making it into the top three? AC?

There are at least three former world champions n the field plus most of the US and European pros with whom fans of televised poker will be familiar.

But am I bovvered?

The table breaks down in laughter as Brian explains hows his Poker Trophy persuaded Colin Farrell to take 5%....

Lower picture:

Sheila noticed Bruce's furry arms for the first time that night. "Jeez, what a stupid slag I've been all me loif. I coulda haird that Hartigin geezer earlier on, too, if I'd brought the bloody pole with me. Now I'm stuck with Mister bleedin' Gorilla."

He's off today (Sunday), leaving behind grey skies and damp, poor thing. I find I've turned a pale shade of green... it could be early moss, or a touch of envy.

Go gettem, Brian!!

Don't know if this will make you feel any better, Krizon, but my daughter, who is out in Australia on a touring holiday, reports that the weather ain't great!! ;)

If it's breaking their terrible drought, Colin, it will be welcome over there. I just wish we could sometimes use our damp as an export commodity! Not that Ole Bri is going to worry as his most taxing activity will be indoors... <_<

Depends on what part of Australia she is currently in. At the moment Brisbane and the Gold Coast are brilliant, very warm and humid.

Sydney is overcast, humid, raining practically every second day and not that pleasant to be in.

Western Australia is going through its worse cyclone season yet, and its pouring out there, not a great place to be.

Melbourne is rampant with bushfires, hence why they had to fly 50+ Canadian firefighters in to help with these blazes. Its definitely a NO GO zone at the moment.

Where the hell is this thing being played at?

Its definitely a shab compared to some of the Casinos we have here. Star City (Sydney), Conrad Jupiters (Gold Coast), Crown Casino (Melbourne), Sky City (Adelaide) or Treasury (Brisbane).

It looks like its being played in a shit corner pub in the back of down town Bourke.
