Code Value - 80004002
Code Meaning - No such interface support
Description - LNG File Not Found c\: program files\ Grisoft\AVG7

Then I have to click 'OK' and get

Could not initialize language support interface
Application can not run

I assume this means I've got not anti virus protection?
I've tried downloading the whole thing again, but it couldn't complete, detecting 1 missing something or other.

Helppppppppppppppp shrug::

Warbs, when you say you have tried downloading AVG again, have you uninstalled it first? You usually have to uninstall software before trying to reload / install it.

I would suggest....

Uninstall AVG from your computer: Start - Programs - AVG 7.5 - Uninstall AVG - follow the uninstallation wizard and restart pc.

Remove the content of Temporary Internet Files (open Internet Explorer ->Tools menu -> Internet Options -> Temporary Internet Files section -> Delete Files button -> Delete All Offline Content).

Then, reboot your computer and try to download the latest installation file

I don't seem to be able to uninstall it.

It says;

1 error occurred. 'click' details to show more information.

when I do this I get

local machine instalation failed
Initializaton
error: checking state of the item avg7 US Ing failed
file opening failed %file% = c\ programm\ Grisoft\ AVG
permission denied shrug::

I haven't dared to deleting internet explorer temporary files yet. Someone recently download firefox, Limewire and Bitzip for me. I seem to think that the prtoblem occurred shortly after this. I don't know if they're related or just coincidence though

Right, so I've got uninstall that? Would that knock out AVG though? or prevent me from uninstalling it and re-loading it?. I've noticed a few things taking a bit longer to route through of late, but nothing that has caused terminal problems beyond the slightly inconvenient so far

I've knocked it out of all programmes, but a little icon appears to have cropped up inm the bottom right hand corner which I can use to get back in, so I haven't lost it. Would Firefox knock out AVG? as that was put on at the same time. If I tried to perform a reset to some time around late March, would that have the effect of deletign evrythign and taking me back to where I was prior to this?
