I'm not a big fan at all of London but while I find it generally unfriendly I don't believe that's all there is to it.

Last year, on a brief weekend visit, I got talking to a woman waiting for the tube. She was very easy to talk to and our journeys happened to coincide. It was a surprisingly enjoyable half-hour and she went a long way to dispelling my negative views of the people.

(Now I realise there's tons of ammo in there for the innuendo brigade, but please resist...)

Not to mention the Londoners that take pity on a country lass and lead her to the North Circular when she's hopelessly lost late on a Friday night.....
