It was a typo!! I had seen he was second and I only got paid for second too.

Spoke to the owner who is rightly over the moon! The winner cost £190k and is their Supreme Novice horse this season who they rate very highly - he'd also had a run over hurdles whereas Wolfie hadn't. Plus he was race-fit whereas Wolfie wasn't (500 plus days off). Apparently he led and was just caught close home. Nico turned round to Richard Patrick and said "where the hell did you get that from? We thought we were going to be winning half the track!"

So definitely no chance of him going back pointing.

Yesterday I booked sponsorship of “The Dick Saunders” Hunterchase at Leicester which is where it all began for Jumping For Fun four years ago. Dom Bradshaw kindly allowed me to post my crazy idea which in all honesty a majority of us myself included didn’t really think that it would take off…..one race if we were lucky and then shelve it and find another way of bonding The Forum……….but not only did it take off it has been soaring for four seasons now and growing year on year. Four season 1, Six season 2, 8 (although one was abandoned) season 3 we currently have Four for 2026 season already and two more will hopefully be announced before Christmas, lleaving one more target course to find funds for then we will move on to see if we can source yet another race and all of this is achieved through voluntary donations from Pointing Pointer Forum and beyond.

That's incredible Gordon! You really are an inspiration in what you have achieved - a comment shared recently to me by Taunton Racecourse.
 
Oh my goodness this is moving at a fast pace now. Today we booked Ludlow 15/01/26/ AND Fakenham 13/03/26 making a total of SIX POINTING POINTERS sponsored Hunterchase’s in the 2026 season !!! However the team are not sitting on their laurels but are going for number SEVEN at Catterick 04/03/26 but are short of funds to book it at the moment so if you wish to donate please either use or DM me for details of how to donate saving JG commission that we get charged !!
