Where can I find official explanations as to why horses are withdrawn from races ?

It usually says in the results section in the Racing Post.

For example: New Approach (Mistake) in the non runners bit below the full result.

thats great rory . any idea if there is an historic source? amongst others I am interested to know why Cheap Street was pulled out of 7.20 Folkestone on 3rd June .

You could just email the trainer's office and ask?
Most will answer any reasonable query, esp if it has a quick answer!
