Novice Hurdlers 2012-13

I'm surprised to see Tominator make his debut over hurdles tomorrow-so soon after Newmarket.it will be interesting to see Jonjo at work getting him handicapped-I'd say the 2014 Coral Cup is the obvious target.

Three quick runs now and then a handicap debut in a Pertemps qualifier/2m 5f Handicap Hurdle in Feb before Cheltenham would be just fine :)

Very impressed by the run of Evan Williams' Lienosus in the Persian War yesterday. Travelled very well into the race and was on the bridle when a bad mistake 3 out knocked it out of him, he had previously won 2 p2p's here in the UK and I can see him improving a heck of a lot for the run - would certainly have been second but for the mistake yesterday.

He's got an engine, that's for sure. If he wasn't so damn clumsy (barely jumped a fence at Whitfield) he'd be a serious tool.

Can't argue with that HJ - only saw him at Charing last season when he at best looked unschooled and clueless, when he gets round he's a nice horse just a shame about his size and as you say the clumsiness.

Tominator was a bit messy at times.McCoy doubted his stamina in an interview after the race.I would imagine he will run at the Open meeting.
I thought the first race at Naas was a nice race-Jezki looks like a horse who will definitely come up the Cheltenham hill-my big concern would be about Harrington having her stable in form for the festival -she does tend to blow hot and cold.

Clondaw Kaempfer impressed me almost as much as The New One. His sire gets a lot of good ground animals as well so he'll be interesting on a sound surface.

Two for today from that decent pointers Bumper that Swedish Chef follows:

13:00 Wetherby - Mr Watson @ 9/4

14:40 Down Royal - Itsy Bitsy Spider @ 20/1

No worries Benny - Itsy Bitsy Spider had run in a decent pointers bumper before that and won his only p2p start at Miltown at this time last year. Looks worth a small interest at 25's to me though obviously the top two will be very hard to beat.

Ransom note goes in the opener at Kempton today, thought he would be shorter than what he is,around 2's.I know it means nothing in a maiden hurdle but given the company he's been keeping on the flat class alone should see him home if handling the ground.Probably a race to watch

Sizing Gold being unleashed over hurdles tomorrow.Could be the best horse in the stable this time next year.

"Looking forward to Sizing Gold going hurdling tomorrow. It's obviously a hard ask going straight into novice company, but we hold him in high regard and this is a nice starting point for him"

Before he won his bumper the word was he would be the next stable star.I can't give you any gallop or schooling reports but a good friend of my was told this face to face by one of Henrys top men.

As short as 13/8 with bet365-I thought the 9/4 last night was tight enough. Will back him if I can get the 2/1 with Powers.

Had a strong look at the 9/4 last night but thought I might squeeze a bit of 5/2 this morning. Looks like nothing else is fancied / being backed in the race. He wouldn't need to be out of this world to win this on hurdles debut.

Seefood is a useful yardstick, going for a hat trick with C&D form. Dessie Hughes stable in decent form too

If SG does take it, i'll take it that he is useful enough
