We've got the Novice Chaser and Juvenile Hurdle threads and as it's nearly November, thought it's time the Novice Hurdlers got their own.

These are the few that have caught my eye already this season:

Altior - decent bumper horse for Henderson last year and absolutely dotted up at the recent Chepstow meeting. His main opposition either fell or was pulled up, but that should not detract from the performance
Penglai Pavilion - impressive winning over 2m 5f at Cheltenham on Friday. He was a bit buzzy to start with, but ultimately travelled and jumped well & stayed on up the hill. Very promising
Mister Miyagi - also impressed at Prestbury last week, travelling like a good thing and picking off the leader over the last and scooting up the hill. The 2nd Drumlee Sunset could also be decent, perhaps over a little further
Maputo - another Ferguson horse who hosed up at Kempton and was really impressed with his jumping. Is more than just a summer jumper
Perform - only won a maiden at Aintree yesterday but loved the way he did it and the confidence that oozed from Richard Johnson

Also, one of my first tracker horses runs at Punchestown tomorrow - Tycoon Prince. He's been mentioned a few times on here already this year and fully expect this to be the first step of a great season for him

Wolf Of Windlesham has a bright future over timber having hacked up at Ludlow last week in a juvenile hurdle.
I do not know what he beat, (there was a Simon Munir owned Henderson hot-pot back in third), but he's on my radar as a possible Triumph Hurdle horse in March after he kept pulling away in the final furlong like a horse with a right-old engine.
I think there could be any amount of improvement in him at the tender age of three after just one hurdles start.
Admittedly I do like his trainer Stuart Edmunds who also trains another horse I like called Cloonacool, but Wolf Of Windlesham is worth a mention on merit.

I'm very much looking forward to Ben Paulings good bumper horse Barters Hill. Not the most original of selections and not sure he'll be at his best until he gets to fences but I love his attitude. He is a horse that wants to win and that is so important, particularly in NH. I expect him to mop up some novices over 2m4f and then potentially step up in trip and grade. He will make a cracking staying chaser.

Who do we fancy to step forward from the Champion Bumper then?
Supasandae looked impressive but was turned over twice comprehensively in the spring festivals
Yanworth looks exciting on what he's avchieved so far too.

Hobbd implied in yesterday's RP stable tour that if he'd been asked to nominate one stable selection it would have been Wait For Me.

OK Corral is a NJH inmate that I'm looking forward to now he seems likely to be stepped up in trip over hurdles and at the risk of stating the obvious, his Punchestown conqueror Yorkhill could be special.

Jumped nicely but a little to the left at each hurdle, but as they said on ATR, hopefully that will get ironed out when he goes a bit quicker

A couple of interesting races at Stratford this afternoon which will probably prove how hard it is to win even a midweek maiden or novice at smaller tracks with two £200k+ horses running...

Hawkhurst runs in the maiden at 3.10. Won an Irish point and then bought by JP at the Brightwells Cheltenham sales for £200k and moved to Nicholls. He should go well and main opposition could be Wholestone for Twiston Davies who was recently bought by Munir/Souede after winning a Worcester bumper

Two interest recruits in the closing novice hurdle. Charbel won a couple of bumpers for Thomas Mullins, finished 4[SUP]th[/SUP] behind Bellshill in the Punchestown Champion Bumper and was then sold for €280k and moved to Kim Bailey (probably not my first choice for a speedy hurdler…). Mr Mix ran in an Auteuil race that Nicholls has a history of buying decent performers from (e.g. Saphir Du Rheu). It may not be his day today, but definitely a name for the future

Hawkhurst & Wholestone turned over by Charlie Longsdon's Ballydine. He did it very nicely, but am not sure how strong the form will turn out to be

Charbel won, but had an awkward way of going about it and will be amazed if that turns out to be €280k well spent

Fair performance from Onefitzall for Hobbs/Johnson this afternoon at Uttoxeter. The opposition didn’t offer much, but he’ll go in the tracker

Didn't fancy sticking my head above the parapet first but that's round about what I thought too
I'd probably have altior 143 and c the same 140
Wonder if they take the MTOY route for Altior and take in the Betfair hurdle.

144 would be a gift to be honest I think 140 for the second would be to. They absolutely massacred that field today and it looked hot on paper.
