Novice Hurdlers 22/23

Luccia now misses the tolworth, scoped dirty. Or Henderson read the same article I did about the Supreme and decided all hype to be quenched!

Anyone know if Arctic Bresil goes? I'm on at 25s for the Supreme, still hopeful HDB will stick to 2 miles.

All indications are that he will run, you would have to think that indepockets is De Bromheads Ballymore horse and this lad will stay at 2 miles.

Maybe so although plenty of Tolworth winners have gone in the longer race at Cheltenham

Monsignor in 2000 for one and what a Tolworth that was, despite the small field.

Monsignor went on to win the RSA
Best Mate was just touched off in the Supreme
Snow Drop won the Triumph

Thx for that memory.

Heavy aftertiming...but I was in a tote bookies down in Middlesex for the Cheltenham bumper win. That was an enjoyable collection at the payout window.

Jaysus: Cheltenham was his SIXTH run of the season. [Someone reaches for the cognac decanter at Seven Barrows.]

Monsignor bred locally by Ted Dennehy, a farmer friend of my father's generation.
Always interested in horses and racing he bought the dam Dooney's Daughter as a yearling for 4,300 punts .
By The Parson ex a Deep Run she was a half sister to Holy Joe, A good horse trained by Jim Wilson.
He ran her in p2ps without success, maybe she won one.
She was bred to Mister Lord at the local Clongeel Stud, the owner Denis Vaughan it was said could recite both his catechism and the stud book for his confirmation.
Alas Ted died suddenly before Monsignor made his name.
Pity because as barman in the local community club he held the record for the latest opening, the revellers went home at 8.30 am !
From the my front window I look across at the farmyard and fields where Monsignor frolicked as a foal .

Henry's Saturday runs in the UK have been unsuccessful missions

The running today was beyond bad

Tomorrow at Naas looks a proper race, I do like Irish point

Looks a good race alright personally think the jolly will be hard to beat

I wouldn't care to go too high on today's or what you mentioned Euro

Too many obstacles ommited

But in terms of campaigning, I'd prefer the G1 form of Naas and Fairyhouse

This facile vega fear mean a lot of novices are exposed still here but this Impaire et passe impresses me with his jumping technique

Likely the Ballymore unless FV is turned over in February

I was looking through entried before he ran 1st time up so I was waiting for him to run as Simon Munir and Isaac Souede don't often get it wrong when they buy frenchies.

looks like €155,000 was well spent.
