On top of it all my daughter, who is putting her family allowance into a trust fund for when her sons [hopefully] go to uni, will now lose that, because she chose to work part time to enable her to spend more time with her kids. You could argue that, if she can afford to do so then she obviously doesn't need family allowance [visions of families marching through the streets of London with placards saying 'no family allowance; Beatrice will have to cancel her riding lessons and we can no longer go skiing']. I'm sure there are families out there spending the allowance on fags and MacDonalds. And I've got to go another 2 years before I get my pension and [even worse!] bus pass. Paranoia is setting in in the moehat household..they're out to get us...
