old school masters of their trade been world chamois old styley superb

Plenty of elderly school masters have engaged in perverted scratching and I have to admit the habit has rubbed-off on me; so I'd be most interested to know what "world chamois old styley superb" is. My tentative guess is that it involves the application of soft damp cloths to the red-raw hairy bits whilst waltzing around the bedroom, not necessarily on one's own...nice

:lol::lol: Yep it's a privately educated past time..:D

Rather enjoyed the Scott Walker prom the other night, but then again, I was madly in love with him [along with all of my friends and just about every girl in the world]; thought he just started doing 'chanteuse' sort of music [whatever the male version of that is] but hadn't realised his stuff was quite political as well.

Scott walker heavily influenced Suede,Dog man star a fantastic album although every song is related to death, drugs, suicide, depression and sexuality non of your middle of the road crap..Their first album is also brilliant as well then they became more commercial because Bernard butler left, first two albums were different class..

I'll play Dog Man Star [good old utube]when todays racing is over; I'd forgotten about Bernard Butler.

I'm making progress on getting back up and running again, funnily enough I got talking to a local club owner/promoter who would like to hear a mix CD from me.

I don't know if anyone else watched the Cambridge Folk Festival programmes on Sky Arts but I was very impressed by Wildwood Kin. Apparently they are Bob Harris's favourite new act.

I need to check this out but I had a friend who used to write for Dr Who; he did a pilot video for a programme he hoped to get on the BBC [but didn't, which you would understand if you saw the video]. I'm sure he said the guy who played one of the aliens went on to become Mr Blobby. Just a bit of useless information I'm afraid. Darn it; I'll have to rewatch the video now. Alas my pal is no longer with us so I can't ask him.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8pn_Yyrr7UWas on R6 this afternoon; had forgotten how good Blue Aeroplanes are. Jacket Hangs; never heard it before but can't stop playing it...[I love this song so much I've even worked out how to use ebay/paypal etc just so I can buy it...]

....I was so embarrassed, way back, to have bought Gary Numans 'Cars' [although everyone else in the country did, too]. So can't believe that, 30 years on he's better than ever and was so ahead of his time. Think I've got quite a large back catalogue to work through.

I've deleted a few; gosh; makes me sound really popular but, in fact, the messages go back to 2008! Now having a trip down memory lane reading them [whilst listening to Gary Numan....]

...just ordered 'Beat Songs' by Blue Aeroplane; it's very 'LOVE' 'West Coasty' [but, then again, they do come from Bristol so that's west coasty...]

If anyone likes blues/rock I suggest you check out a band called King King.

Best band I’ve heard in ten years. Seen them live four times.

Gouryella - Gouryella was an absolute classic.

If you like trance check out Paul Skelton music on Facebook. The guy plays all the old classics but arranged for piano. He’s really talented.

Alongside all my other dance music I bought cds and tapes of the big trance classics, more into other genres of dance really, had alook at that paul skelton very good piano player not sure its to easy to translate the tunes onto piano although I recognized most of the tunes he played watched it for an hour last night as like trying to name the tunes.Quite surprised how many trance tunes I know by name, think there are a dozen or so classics, ferry corston has released 2 albums since 2015 some craxking tunes listened to them both last night..

Best of 2017:

1 - Nine Inch Nails - Add Violence. Actually an EP but imo Trent's best work since With Teeth.

2 - The Ruins of Beverast - Exuvia
3 - Blut Aus Nord - Deus Salutis Meae
My username comes from probably the leading figure in the Norwegian Black Metal scene from the early 90s. These two bands
take that genre to a new level. The latter's body of work is incredible - over a dozen really good albums in over twenty years.
It's a one man band and he has never performed live. I think this keeps him fresh.

4 - Charlotte Gainsbourg - Rest. Serge's daughter. Really nice album, I love that sort of wistfully intimate sultry French singing accent.
5 - Wet Hair - Floating World. Formed from the demise of cult experimental outfit [FONT=&quot]Raccoo-oo-oon this is more poppy than that band's experimental lo-fi sound.[/FONT]
