Know how you feel I nearly did it myself but saw the price at 33/1 and figured it must have no chance, so changed to something else.

A 4pt profit today thanks to a good 2nd.
But personally a nearly day for me.i deserted isleofhopeandreams for folsom blues,what a mistake that almost was but i did an ew double
on general principle and miles to memphis so that was nearly a great day.

When horses run in there 1st hcap its hard to know what 5he trainer is thinking.does he think its well hcapped or does he need to get the weight down.the fact Bryony frost is booked and its 20/1 then i need to take the chance.

Grand national.
Ive been having a look at this race again,unusual for me i know and i cant see anything to put me off Pleasant company,which ive already advised.
Another one i think is a nice price is HOUBLON DES OBEAUX 1PT EW 66/1.
I usually cross out horses that have been beaten in the race before but Pleasant company almost unshipped Ruby last year and i was disappointed HOUBLON wasnt ridden more prominently.
Having dropped 5lb im hoping this time he will be ridden more prominently.
In his younger days he was 2nd in the hennessey beaten by Many Clouds giving 6lb.
Stays well and doesnt mind heavy going.

A very good 2nd in the national so a small profit today of 0.25pts.
Thats two big priced 2nds in two days,so close.
 
It makes such a big difference doesn't it Outsider about a month or so ago I had a run of hitting the crossbar when it mattered it was the difference between ticking along and doubling my stack all for a few inches here and there. Keep your chin up mate all you can do is keep getting them in the right ball park and hopefully a few of these close finishes will go your way.

Overall this is a real ballsy thread mate and I take my hat off to anyone who can grind out an impressive profit over time.

Cheers Danny, i was really confident about pleasant company and he gave me a great run for my money,,but im still gutted,bloody elliot lol.

Almost made a profit today with cottonvale beaten a head.
Couple of them drifted to 50s and 66s so they were poor.
Its hard at this time of year with the flat just gett going and not knowing whats fully fit and whats trying.i suppose thats why its called gambling.
