Think it's a bit early to be talking about Westerner - he's won an 11f maiden (from what I gather from France Galop).

He's still engaged in the Grefulhe, French Derby and Grand Prix De Paris though

I was impressed with what I saw on Sunday and it was just the familiar connections and the trip that made me think of Westerner. Beat some nice types too.

There's a more likely replacement in Pontelliste (sp?) from what I saw in the 1m 7f group race the other week. Been gradually stepped up in trip but really looks to have come into his own at just shy of 2m.

Thanks Betsmate - he's slightly older than I thought he was but still looks he could be decent at 2m+

I'm not sure that these older stayers are all that much cop and am going to take a chance that it turns into the usual crawl and sprint affair and Mores Wells can nick a place.
