Anyone suggest a programme to download (for free) that lets you edit a PDF - just minor changes/typos type of thing!

Adobe (& others) offer you a free trial if you only need it for a short period.
 
Anyone know of free legit software that will allow you convert XLS to CSV on a command line instruction.
 
Mel, have you used Powershell before? If not it can be downloaded from Microsoft's site - you can definitely write scripts in it very easily to convert files to csv from xls, there are loads of examples on the net.
 
Thank you, that looks like it does the job. I can fob that off on someone else now and save myself a little bit of an angst.
