Punting projects

Float now stands at €729.First race at Cartmel today was what this thread is all about -odds on fav-2nd fav that travels strongly who I could try and lay at slight odds against to have the rest of the field running for me-got one of the others matched at 1.55-that was nice.
Went off to the beach for a few hours and was delighted to have missed a serious bullet with the Weld winner of the maiden.Having seen Simenon run like a hairy goat at Killarney I had to lay him at 2.2 unfortunately I then traded the race very badly and dropped the best part of €200.In a fit of rage I place laid the fav in the bumper-he finished 4th.
Getting interesting now -steaming ahead but discipline is my main concern.I don't mind crashing and burning at a big weekend meeting but it will crack me up if it happens at a rubbish midweek meeting.

The last race at Ripon tonight might be worth playing-bin Suroor is out of form and the Irish runner is from a yard that doesn't exactly bang out winners.

The Godolphin animal in the last has been in my tracker for ages for a trip of 1m4f in a h'cap, why they're still poncing about in maidens only SBS knows.

yes,,had a look at this race..interesting one

Shanhans record with 3yo's in August and September would make me wary of fancying warp factor..he is 1 winner from 32 with such horses..AE = 0.22..so performs well below market expectation. simon waugh has never had a winner..0/41.......johnstons record with 3yo fillies in maidens august and september is not great..5/52..and down in trip 1/13 AE 0.58

hard to oppose the bin suroor one really

Today's report-hit a high of €940 and a low of €500-ended up on €708.Played the last race at Ripon nicely-was guaranteed a minimum of €8 regardless of the winner but that would have been €400 if any of the rags had won.
Avoided a bullet with the NTD winner at Worcester-I would possibly have laid him for the lot.I suppose I should be kicking myself about leaving over €200 disappear but I am fairly Zen about it.
EC1 -you would like stage 2 of the plan if I can make it that far-the deathstar project.

Thanks Harry-going public has helped me focus.Stage 1 is dictated by Betfair markets and last minute decisions-if I make it to Stage 2 everyone will know the bet in advance.

yes..putting stuff up really focusses the mind..i recommend it to everyone reading..start a thread like this..it don't matter what happens...it might surprise you just how focused you do get and is a worthwhile test of resolve.

Have now hit a high of €996-amazingly this week I have dodged two bullets the NTD novice hurdler that won and Windsor Beach last night who I forgot to lay.
Will be backing Donjuan Triumphant to get me to my target in Haydock Sprint Cup-it looks like a tricky weekend but it has one major advantage-the wife is going to her parents house for the weekend.
Keep grinding away and don't do anything stupid -historically my big failure has always been turning minor defeats into the retreat from Moscow.

A €50 each way Lucky 15 with bet365 based mainly or exclusively around their channel 4 special -best price in the village, guaranteed prices, quarter the odds a place and treble the odds for one winner.

Could happen as soon as next weekend-other possibilities are Arc day,British Champions day or possibly wait until the festival.

 might as well go out in a blaze of glory I suppose! Best of luck to you...we'll be willing you on,I take it you will be posting up your 4 selections on here.

I will most definitely be posting my selections and the thinking behind them which was more or less impossible with stage 1 because Betfair is all about the last 5 minutes.
Champions day on soft ground would appeal to me -Breeders Cup another option.
Must have a look at the fixture list-have already hit the withdraw button on betfair.
