Racing Post Gold Cup (ie Massey-Ferguson/Caspian Caviar etc)

Silver Hallmark doesn’t go (fu*cking great), so have rowed in with Lalor with the minimum possible enthusiasm.

Liked the introduction Alnadam got at Haydock but seems to be short enough. Farinet is unexposed, Venetia spoke well of him at a recent tour, will be off a light weight and may be shorter than 20s on Saturday.

Happy about the price and the jockey but hoped for more rain. Wouldn't back him at the current odds.

As long as her Kapga da Lily wins at Hereford, I'm happy.

Farinet has upside. There are a lot of characters in this that I wouldnt trust to win a saturday handicap.
If it wasn't for your assessment of Midnight Shadow falling across the line in his races, he'd be the one.

Disappointing from beakstown after significant support surprised he struggled for pace but they were always going to quick for him and his jumping wasn't up to scratch under pressure . back to the drawing board and the paddy power also rans did the business as usual:whistle:

Congratulations Coole Cody backers

Fusil Raffles did well to recover from some sketchy jumps early on and what looked like a race ending blunder

Poor Dostal Phil

Yeah, that is a worry. I just automatically think Shirocco equals stayer.

Empire Steel has a profile I like and a good trainer but I dunno, half a length in front of Fidux lto didn't excite me but then again he might have had that race just to get right.
