A little bird tells me he may make some headlines this season (more than usual that is) but meanwhile didn't realise he has a 4yo at Nicky Richards yard called Wilhelm Vonvenster. Entered in the bumper at Ayr next Wednesday.

Sold in June 2017 as a 3yo for 31,394 dollars, advertised by the yard as for sale and currently listed on the trainer's website as owned by Miss J R Richards who I think is the trainer's daughter, maybe sister ?
A fairly recent purchase for Ricci by the looks.

Good news or bad news?

No surprise after his injury Mulllins is taking his time with Annamix who is entered tomorrow and Sunday but over 2m4f..no worries with that they need to get 2m4f to win good 2 mile hurdle at Cheltenham

Most of WPM's recent Supreme horses ran in November/December bar Melon who wasn't seen till mid Jan.

Never will an owner have a string like ricci did starting off again. Will never see that again so wonder how long Ricci keeps investing on a grand scale

Annamix and Elite Charboniere out for him tomorrow

And never will see such a crop absolutely made of glass. So, so unlucky. As are we, I genuinely believe a few of them them could have gone down in the record books for years to come.

Vautour
Faugheen
Douvan
Annie Power
And to a much lesser extent VVM.

Outrageous amount of talent wasted their for unfortunate circumstances. Hoping Annamix is every bit as good as the hype suggests. Hopefully not the new Senewalk.

Something was going on. From 1/5 to just short of evens, whilst winner gets backed in from 12s into 3s.

Annamix still only 14s for Supreme. If it was different connections and colours you wouldn't even get a price.

Not been a great year for Ricci around 500k who must be showing a huge loss over the last year. Prize money would probably cover his training fees but long short of purchases like Annamix

He lost 3 big earners in Vautour Douvan and Faugheen who is now back to injury when the world looks like his oyster.

Always wonder how he as a person would handle not being number 1 and as a businessman continue losing big money......

We had the exact same discussion at the exact same time last year. The exact same - Sharjah had just fallen in the novice grade 1. He won the Galway Hurdle and a Grade 1 since.
He is unlikely to ever get the series of horses he had 4/5 years ago but he has several horses that will contest grade 1s from here to the end of the year.
He doesn't strike as a foolish type to expect Douvans or Vautours to grow on trees. But Min, Benie des Dieux, Getabird, Sharjah, Camelia des Cotte, not to mention Thomas Hobbes and Max Dynamite will keep him interested for a while yet.

That’s Senewalk who was very much found out and Annamix now now too who looks like he’ll struggle to win a maiden hurdle!!

Both hyped out of it before they even saw a track.
