Rich Ricci

BDD was tired and would have been all out to win IMO. Ricci had to have something prepared. Worked well that it was on the back of a disappointment.

Ruby wouldnt be thinking about retiring would he?

Pocket talk, Ann's alcohol talk here, this last fence has to make him question it. To say I'm pissed off is an understatement. I could land a massive bet here and still be Down. I'm shaking

Happens too many times (not just at Cheltenham) to make you wonder how it keeps on happening?

I have no idea why Ruby asked her to go flat to the boards going to the last when he had everything beat......hate to say it but I think at times he's showboating......

He says retiring is out of the question

Doesn't need to - some still think he's the greatest jockey around but he does it too often. That was a really soft fall. I'm not saying he did it on purpose for one minute, but he has too many of those I fear for the animals.

In fairness to Lydia she did grill him prior to the mares hurdle. It wasn't aired live on Racing tv but the interview is up on their website now.

At least she had the journalistic integrity to do so.

I lost a bit of respect I had for Nick Luck (on Betbright payroll) after he tried to absolve RR on Luck on Sunday as more sinned against than sinning.

Was unaware of both of those

Thank you

I would be be a fan of Nick Luck and he admitted to a conflict of interest on Sunday -if he can't be impartial he should stay quiet.

Apologies for brining the Ruby talk to this thread above. I've just woke up with the cat eating chicken kebab off me on the sofa, and one peeved Mrs in bed. Shandy or 2 too many.

Benie did me today though, between her and Hardline I'm playing catch up for rest of the festival after today. Depending on results rest of this week will depend if I carry on betting. I hate losing money and today has made me poorly. Even my handicap picks are getting nowhere today. Seems a lot of effort wasted. I'll always watch racing mind.

Suspect I won't be the only one having a bad day today.

Got to love drunken, middle-of-the-night, existential, navel-gazing - we've all been there!

You'll be grand by the time you read this.

Alice Plunkett certainly didn't leave RR off the hook and Ed Chamberlain followed up nicely -fair play to ITV.

Just saw the interview Luke, credit to ITV for not letting him away.

Chapman would have been ideal to probe Ricci's tenuous reasoning but he unfortunately is another one of his fanboys.
