Road to Cheltenham Festival 'Specials'...

Nice work Steve - spend you're winnings Best Mate - there are a few more to come I'd imagine

Could be wrong but I think he needs no more as they already have 9..

Tomorrow is moving day as far as distances are concerned, I'd like to see around 25-30 which might be a tall order with only 6 races, would give us a chance to lock in a profit on the Friday daily totals though am sure.

Barafundle has a couple of stone in hand. You could get your 30 lengths there.

Seem to remember this one from a few of the preview write-ups, I've dutched the front 2 in the market at 7/1 & 8/1, with a bit of luck Pricewise will go with Barafundle so that one's covered too!

Spot on - could get the double up.

Good Luck Steve.

edit - misread your post BM - you could be under pressure but a lot of the Irish bullets have been fired - what price no Irish winner on St Patricks day?? Nothing jumping off the page - the forecast rain will help unaccompanied and Pandorama on Friday though.

Bang.

Thursday Update

Nicky Henderson winners - 0 winners

Still 0....

Cheltenham Festival Winning Distances - 79.95L

Bets are:

90-120 6/4 Skybet
92-117 15/8 VC Bet
95.75-115.75 85/40 Stan James
90-115 6/4 William Hill
over 105 7/4 Paddy Power

In a strong position with 1 day to go:
over 10L will see us paid out
between 10.1 - 25L gives us a return on all bets bar over 105 with PP
25.1 - 35L and all bets paid out.

Day 4 2010 - 26.75
2009 - 46.25
2008 - 22.2
2007 - 28
2006 - 22
2005 - 15.45

Just for OTB, the 95.75-115.75 85/40 Stan James bet needs 15.8 - 35.8, plenty of opportunity to hedge out with the daily totals market will post up tomorrow.

16/1 Henderson not to train a winner - still, so far so good....

Pricewise to get 4 or more winners over festival (doesn't include Antepost selections) - and Junior makes 3... 1 to go please Tom!

WHO WILL START FAVOURITE IN THE GOLD CUP - TBC

Twiston-Davies at 16/1 for top trainer - still work in progress

Stan James still keen to take money on this and have it priced up:

Under 97.5 13/8 (under 17.55)
97.5-108 7/4 (17.55-28.05)
over 108 13/8 (over 28.05)

As upto 115.75 is well covered, if I was going to try maximise profit in case of radical ground changes etc. I'd probably take the odds on Betfair:

"More than 120L" available at over 5/1.

Fair enough - after the near misses I thought the bet was home and hosed and Henderson was jinxed. But today was always going to be a vert strong day for him, in at least 4 races.

For a fun bet, yes good, but I thought it was a value bet?

I thought you (or Gearoid, too lazy to look) pointed out the opposite.

2 now anyway, and the first 2 in the market in the last.

Thursday Update

Nicky Henderson winners - 2 winners

Would've lost out on the over 2.5

16/1 Henderson not to train a winner - ultimatley a loser, but gave you a good run for your money Luke (was me who posted about the value aspect, Hamm)

Pricewise to get 4 or more winners over festival (doesn't include Antepost selections) - when I saw today's selections I didn't feel confident and so it transpired, gave a run right into the last race though as success for Du Boitron or Keiki Beku would've made it a winning bet.

WHO WILL START FAVOURITE IN THE GOLD CUP - Long Run! Well done to those who said he might.

Twiston-Davies at 16/1 for top trainer - nightmare week for the Twisters..

Cheltenham Festival Winning Distances - 112.75L

Bets were:

90-120 6/4 Skybet WIN
92-117 15/8 VC Bet WIN
95.75-115.75 85/40 Stan James WIN
90-115 6/4 William Hill WIN
over 105 7/4 Paddy Power WIN

Was a bit worried when Baby Run tipped up, but we were ok in the end!

At the start of the week what price would you have went NTD to have no winners bearing in mind he had two fancied horses and a heap of entries.
