At least Byrnes has left Solwhit in, and seems prepared to have a look. Would love to see him take his chance in this, especially if there was a bit of juice in the ground.

Monksland for me,from what i can see he best fits the profile of whats came second to the big lad over the last 4 years.

Should do, he's been geared up to run in it all season and loves the track but I'm looking to the younger horse Monksland to come up through the ranks as most of those who ran are very exposed

Anyone know why Back In Focus and Prince De Beauchene have been left in? Personally, would quite like to see Prince De Beauchene run as I think he could definitely surprise a few but as far as I know Mullins has suggested another target for his Grand National preparation. As far as I know this has never been mooted for Back In Focus and it just looks like a waste of an entry fee. Mind you if Mullins wanted to annoy punters even more.....

Owner Dai Walters confirmed Oscar Whisky is likely to take his chance in the Ladbrokes World Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival this afternoon.

Of course, Go Native, thanks qzy. Brain fart on my part.

Meades record would be a slight concern for me re Monksland. Im not sure ive ever been on the right side of a Meade horse. I'll stay away to give his backers a fair crack of the whip.

Wouldn't bother me because he's run well at the Festival before. He's not an Aran Concerto or a Pandorama who is trying to translate deep ground form in Ireland to good ground at Cheltenham.

I don't know if he'll turn up or not but Zaidpour @90.0 to win and 16.5 to place looks incredible e/way value to me given his record when racing over 3m - He beat Monksland at Level weights and was only btn 2 1/2L when giving Monksland 2lb. 2lb is a lot to give away over 3m on testing ground. Admittedly Monksland is a younger more lightly raced horse and open to more improvement but Zaidpour has two Cheltenhams behind him over an inadequate trip of 2m. His 3m form would give him an oustanding chance in this field this year. 20 runs - 8 wins 8 seconds and only ever btn once at 23f+ off level weights and that was by Thousand Stars

Even off level weights Bog Warrior would have beaten him last time and he's only had 4 runs over 23f+ in his life with his defeat of VLV being the best of it.

The place odds look generous but even in an average year he's going to have to improve at least 7lbs to win and I don't see it happening.

I backed Peddlers for this a while ago and still think he has a chance but Reve De Sivola looks the one to beat now.

Willie Mullins has said he and So Young will stay at home this season.

Can anyone confirm if Solwhit was the Pricewise pick, and has anyone heard if Byrnes is inclined to run?

An old fav of your Grassy but it must be extremely doubtful after all the time and effort put into getting him back they'll chuck him straight into the World Hurdle over atrip they have absolutely no idea if he will get or not.

His trainer is surely a bit too wide for that and will wait for the Aintree Hurdle and try and turn the clock back and win it again.
