This race is vexing me. I fancy Allaho but Paddy's comments on going back to the drawing board with him on The Road to Cheltenham video worries me. Hoping he runs in the Kinloch Brae.
I think last year's renewal was poor tbh. APT jumped poorly, didn't travel and wasn't beaten that far so I'm against SC and Min.
Mister Fisher's form was not advertised by Clondaw Castle today
Imperial Aura I can't have at all. Form is very underwhelming.
I'm thinking Melon or Defi but without much enthusiasm. Defi likely goes QM if he wins next week. Melon never wins. Samcro?

I'll be betting Samcro. Only one race they are worried about all season for him.
This.

I've got some nice antepost slips, and will top up again at some point.

He's also a great price for antepost each way multiples with some of the fancied horses for those so minded.

The only problem is as others have pointed out the race looks like being a max field so the e/w angle would be very thin. He is nicely priced though on what has been a nothing campaign.

I'm not worried about the max field. When you get into the teeth of it there are only a handful to concentrate on.

Because of recency bias he's possibly the best priced horse in all the markets, and he's a must to use in antepost multiples.

I'd be amazed if he ran again. His price will only contract when it's obvious he is running and he has a proper jockey booking. You don't let a two time festival winner go off 16/1 on good ground.

Scenes if he is 16/1

The 3m run over Christmas was a strange choice, everything from March backwards was the plan here

Look how well he travelled though. As Maurco said there was no where else to really run him. He got a nice sympathetic ride and pulled up when he clouted one.

Maybe they wanted to know if he jumped better at the slower pace - apparently not.
Wouldn't bet him with someone else's,at the mo.

He jumped like a bunny at Cheltebhan last year. The key to horse is simple. He needs good ground.

I dunno, but then, I dunno.

On the one hand, why swerve the Durkan against a softish field? On the other hand, run him over 3m and jack the Ryanair price.

Gut feel is Samcro woumd want to be tuned to the minute to be winning a Ryainair.

Upside is current price, and abject weakness of the event. Hard to dismiss.

I assume Melon goes here. Why is he 12/1? I get the 2itis but looking at the Marsh last year and his last race. They can be aggressive and win from the front.
Expect a different Samcro here I agree though.
Allaho is surely better than what he has shown. Jumping is the name of the game though.
