True. the clock in head ability is still a bit underrated in the media i think. its looks less spectacular so gets less plaudits. But give me a Steve cauthen over any jockey ive ever seen.

the first two home are with trainers i have a lot of time for. No doubt someone will point out differently but give Charlton a good horse and its fine.

:confused:So you never saw Cauthen ?

He was a very fine jockey but not a patch on Lester who was just as good a judge of pace but better all round. I am sure Oh So Sharp would have remained unbeaten had Lester still been at Warren Place.
