Good to see Wolf Of Windlesham entered in the handicap hurdle. Has an entry the day before at Donny also.

"Selective watering" taking place :ninja:

I know that ground considered good for jumping might sometimes be regarded as softer for the Flat but I am rather baffled by how parts of the flat course are described as heavy in places yet they are watering the chase course !

I wonder what Mullins will run in the Celebration Chase .

If the ground is good it will not suit UDS , coming back over a shorter trip and going the way round that suits him less after a fall might not be ideal for Vautour and even for an utterly brilliant novice like Douvan it is a very big step up for a novice to face Sprinter and Special Tiara going hell for leather round Sandown . The last thing you want is Douvan to fall .

Not that unusual in fact. The hurdles and chase courses often have vwry different goings

I'd be gobsmacked if he ran Vautour or Douvan in it and he's too good a trainer to risk UDS on unsuitable ground so if it is riding fast on Saturday I reckon he'll pull him out and save him for Tuesday, effectively sacrificing the title.

I can't see us getting a repeat of the Pipe v Nicholls win-at-all-costs scenario. Nicholls, by his own admission, has grown up a lot since that and Mullins appears far too sensible.

No Vautour , Douvan or Special Tiara - Nicholls is running three ( including Dodging Bullets) but in essence looks like a match between UDS and Sprinter - although Sire De Grugy is entered I imagine the ground will be very quick for him

Voix Du Reve goes in the 1st tomorrow. No jockey booked from what I can see.

Does David Mullins still have a claim in England?

Surprised to see Sprinter at odds against. UDS may get a soft lead but the railway fences will find him out IMO and the ground will be against him. Can't see SDG or DB reversing Cheltenham form and the other two surely aren't good enough

I was there today and live nearby fwiw . A fair bit more rain came down late this afternoon than forecast . Good couple of hours of it

No but it won't do the chances of UDS any harm.

NJH is no doubt fuming as he said during the week they shouldn't be watering.

Who's the swine that sent him that email telling him the golfers are getting a free drop for casual water on the course's golf course this morning:lol:

I'm dutching Ptit Zig and Vaniteux against the mare, didn't realise until perusing the card earlier that she has such a beefy penalty.

Vroom Vroom Mag is so hard to weigh up as WPM has been very clever in placing her and she's beat nothing of note that i can see.

He desperately needs her to win and that worries me as he rarely gets it wrong

Vaniteux is said to still be in great form and we saw what PN can do with an out of form horse yesterday....so I reckon it's a wise bet
