You couldn't really say that Som Tala didn't deserve a big one though, he's been a bridesmaid in so many big handicaps, one had to drop right for him sooner or later.

No-one is saying that. He wasn't handicapped to win a race with such a large pot but they gave him it. Good luck to him. It may be some time before he wins again.
