Although this will be purely put down to being within a minority sect of Islam (wahhabism), I wonder if we will see the mouthy Muslim council of Britain condemn this...

Her only crime was to be in a car with a man who was not a relative, the original sentence was 90 lashes but after appealing it was raised to 200 lashes. She also has to serve 6 months in prison. The family had used the media to take up the case so the appeal judge seemed to be trying to make a point, it is completely disgraceful but what are the odds of any "world leaders" condemning it????

Some British lady, who is a teacher is Sudan could receive 40 lashes for naming a teddy bear Mohammad. Which is considered an insult to the Prophet Mohammad.

It's ever possible, we live in a strange world. But i reckon they could do that in the UK. Call me cynical but I can't quite help noticing the connection between volunteers and wonga
