Scousers

very macho of you guys.

Why don't you just leave the rascist remarks out of it?

you can still get your message accross without racially abusing the lady.

Please.

Dan , I personally find the word paddy derogotory . It reminds me of all those 80's Paddy Irish man jokes . My political viewpoint doesn't enter into this though as Derek says "David Trimble wouldn't be too happy to be called a paddy " Sorry if that's me being sensitive but it is a stereotype

If you can submit a dialectic response Merlin we would be facinated to hear your points for debate on several topics .

Hi Diver

Just over the bank from me, eh, Esh Winning (Gods Country). That's 3 of us down to Monmore for the big Pi** up, when the dog comes in (lol)
Pop over the Stags Head one night for a beer.

Regards
Trevor

ps Used to go to Stanley Central for the strippers (maybe that will show my age)

DD , I'm certainly not intransigent and I agree with you "lets move on" . All I wanted to convey is that it is unacceptable to stereotype people . I can't speak on behalf of the people of Wales or Liverpool and perhaps he did'nt reallise the connotations of the word PADDY . Scouser and Taffe may not carry the same implications .

After returning from an Anti Oppressive Practice course only an hour ago i must agree with Solerina. Although i personally do not think it's as derogatary as calling someone a nigger it is still a form of Racism that Sol obviously finds very offensive.

I will post a thread about the weekend ive just had when ive had time to get my head down and have a good think, a real eye opener that im sure will fire up a good debate on here!
