Should the Bonus King abdicate?

I didn't -- or still don't -- see any evidence in any of his posts that would infer that he was unaware that he would need funds to Lay off.
Anyway, back to the topic under discussion............... :)

Betfred are a waste of time - they let me win a max of €75 in any market except football

That I do agree with....I was backing Grandouet on the machine every day for weeks to get 430 quid on at around 13 for the Champion Hurdle as I thought I may want to lay it off later. I got almost 5 times that on with bookmakers without any trouble but if the money is not on the machine to lay it off on the day then I have to top up my account if I want to go that way which is a bummer.

"Our friend had 300 quid on the horse"
Not quite - I had £240 each way.

"I have never seen the guy post and find it weird this guy who knows everything about the game messed up because he never knew the rules of the bookie he was betting with."
(1) I was almost a founder member but left because of all the petty bickering. I've ventured in again after about five years, but nothing has changed so I'll be off again soon.
(2) And by the way, as I have pointed out in a letter to Mr Done, nowhere does the reason for under-settling my bet appear in Betfred's rules.

That would be a shame. I don't see anywhere near the amount of bickering now that there was even two or three years ago.

I was about to say its so nice to see you back again, BC, but as you can see this forum ain't what it used to be! Keep making me smile on FB though!

50 pounds is bog all on Betfair. Most Saturdays each race will trade up to and over 1 million pound and getting 2 or 3 grand on is a doddle never mind alousy 50 quid.

I don't it's that easy nowadays. The early morning and pre race markets are very weak, even on a Saturday, at the moment.

80% of the turnover is in the final 10 minutes and it's anyone's guess how much of that is coming from the bookies.

A mate of mine had the Cez winner. Took the early price on Friday afternoon of 25/1. Won at 66/1, but paid at the lower price.

Argued the toss but I don't think he got the higher price.

Not according to his post.
You are of course right I really wasn't paying that much attention as it was about 4am here when I posted......I was almost caught out by that before so I am aware of it.

It would be much better for me if I had got all my bets on with Betfair but there simply wasn't enough money going around so I backed the horse elsewhere. That money I can't use at anytime until after the race if at all was the point I am trying to make,

If it was my intention to lay off my bets on Grandouet before the day of the race I could probably get a fair bit done before the AP market closed it being Cheltenham there usually a good few thousand floating about as I expect him to shorten further.

However chances of me laying off Grandouet are slim to nothing. Hope that clears it up.

PS **** is spelled with a C not a K :p

Most of it does come from bookies hence the 60% rule. That's why I use a bot and not their website direct which is as slow as a week in the jail. btw they also lay horse not just back them when they see something or hear something we dont.

I honestly find it easy to get decent amounts on. I laid back Grandouet for plenty in running on Saturday without a hitch and had a fairly large bet on Coneygree well before the off which was matched within 2 mins. I backed him again before the off and again in running for a 3 fugure sum which was matched instantly.

I'd advise anyone who hasn't got a bot to get one. I use the Geeks Toy and my mate uses Betangel which are both inexpensive and more than pay their way. I get less delay than most people in the UK and I am in the Far east......wierd but true.

You are entitled to your opinion about me. Quite frankly it's not aproblem.

However that does not give you the right to post complete garbage to support your abuse.

I was Dutching up until recently........no matter which horse I backed if one of them won my gross return 400 pounds less losing bets and commison

Sometimes I'd back 2 sometimes 3 sometimes 4 horses in one race.

I just took an example day of my spreadsheet at random and the smallest bet I had was 44.44p and the largest was 307.69 and never once was I not matched. The chances of a bookie taking bets and giving you prices race after race are about ziltch

Our friend had 300 quid on the horse (Well done by the way) he could have easily got that on at 10 on the machine in that race. If that offends him then I can only apologies but I have not said anything that isn't true. Personally I would never take a price in an open handicap on the books once the runners are known because no matter what horse you want to back unless there's a massive gamble on it you will always come out on top betting on the machine if you are patient.

Admittedly the machine is not for ew backers but I very seldom back ew but I do play the place only market now an again.

It clearly states that Brutt does his business early mornings, 50 quid yes may be possible to get on in them hours, 240 e/w is another thing.

As i said, i just lurk on here, im in no way an expert in this field, or for that matter any field, i just sit back, read, and enjoy.

Brutto is one of very shrewd judges that iv seen, slim is in the trade from all angles, they know their onions.

Good luck with the Graduate horse.

My apologies if I offended you but I really thought you were a newbie

So it would be OK to offend him if he was a 'newbie.'? Interesting.

[ps.. Brutto - when you gave them your date of birth was the computer able to handle it?]

Same as every forum on the net, Newbies have to prove themselves, or their opinion carrys no weight

Had they actually formed a new book when you struck the bet is surely the question you should be asking. They should be able to answer that immediately.

I doubt if there is a time when they must make a book for the day and close their AP book.

I would have thought your entire case revolves round the answer to that question

My thoughts exactly.

I was also intrigued by this little beauty from the gob of one who thinks it is ok to offend people.

You have the manners of a pig mate.

It's not exactly the first time he's been a personally offensive little git either.

Time for a spell in the sin bin methinks.

I agree Tanlic, very distastful stuff.

Enjoy your posts, far from superficial and often underrated I think.

Any news on Gmooh?:)

Talk about a clique........the fact the guy called me a C**T is acceptable as long as its one of your buddies eh?

No one is backing me up on that, nor would I expect them too but my opinion of you remains the same. You're an essay writing bore. I'd rather kill myself than read your posts.
