Not according to his post.
I didn't -- or still don't -- see any evidence in any of his posts that would infer that he was unaware that he would need funds to Lay off.
Anyway, back to the topic under discussion...............
That I do agree with....I was backing Grandouet on the machine every day for weeks to get 430 quid on at around 13 for the Champion Hurdle as I thought I may want to lay it off later. I got almost 5 times that on with bookmakers without any trouble but if the money is not on the machine to lay it off on the day then I have to top up my account if I want to go that way which is a bummer.
(1) I was almost a founder member but left because of all the petty bickering. I've ventured in again after about five years, but nothing has changed so I'll be off again soon.
50 pounds is bog all on Betfair. Most Saturdays each race will trade up to and over 1 million pound and getting 2 or 3 grand on is a doddle never mind alousy 50 quid.
You are of course right I really wasn't paying that much attention as it was about 4am here when I posted......I was almost caught out by that before so I am aware of it.Not according to his post.
Most of it does come from bookies hence the 60% rule. That's why I use a bot and not their website direct which is as slow as a week in the jail. btw they also lay horse not just back them when they see something or hear something we dont.I don't it's that easy nowadays. The early morning and pre race markets are very weak, even on a Saturday, at the moment.
80% of the turnover is in the final 10 minutes and it's anyone's guess how much of that is coming from the bookies.
A mate of mine had the Cez winner. Took the early price on Friday afternoon of 25/1. Won at 66/1, but paid at the lower price.
Argued the toss but I don't think he got the higher price.
You are entitled to your opinion about me. Quite frankly it's not aproblem.
However that does not give you the right to post complete garbage to support your abuse.
I was Dutching up until recently........no matter which horse I backed if one of them won my gross return 400 pounds less losing bets and commison
Sometimes I'd back 2 sometimes 3 sometimes 4 horses in one race.
I just took an example day of my spreadsheet at random and the smallest bet I had was 44.44p and the largest was 307.69 and never once was I not matched. The chances of a bookie taking bets and giving you prices race after race are about ziltch

Our friend had 300 quid on the horse (Well done by the way) he could have easily got that on at 10 on the machine in that race. If that offends him then I can only apologies but I have not said anything that isn't true. Personally I would never take a price in an open handicap on the books once the runners are known because no matter what horse you want to back unless there's a massive gamble on it you will always come out on top betting on the machine if you are patient.
Admittedly the machine is not for ew backers but I very seldom back ew but I do play the place only market now an again.
My apologies if I offended you but I really thought you were a newbie
So it would be OK to offend him if he was a 'newbie.'? Interesting.
[ps.. Brutto - when you gave them your date of birth was the computer able to handle it?]

That would be a shame. I don't see anywhere near the amount of bickering now that there was even two or three years ago.
"Our friend had 300 quid on the horse"
Not quite - I had £240 each way.
"I have never seen the guy post and find it weird this guy who knows everything about the game messed up because he never knew the rules of the bookie he was betting with."

(2) And by the way, as I have pointed out in a letter to Mr Done, nowhere does the reason for under-settling my bet appear in Betfred's rules.
The very man.
I was looking to buy a big wooden spoon for cooking could you tell me where you got yours?
Another Newbie cut down by the rapier wit of an intellectual collosus. You win. I'm out of my depth here.

You have the manners of a pig mate.
Talk about a clique........the fact the guy called me a C**T is acceptable as long as its one of your buddies eh?
