First of all, he hasnt stood out to the general public.

Secondly, wouldnt he need a personality?

It would only take Liverpool fans to get behind him and it would be a ll over. I happen to think he's a pretty big personality.

"Gerard would want to win the open, Wimbledon and the 100mts at the Olympics now and probably ride John Terry's wife to win it now!"

233/1 with Bet365

Cristoforo Colombo (25/1) 2013 2000 Guineas
Newfangled (8/1) 2013 1000 Guineas

They only laid me a token bet so I've had to do trebles with as many short ones as I could find today.

So, after Bradley Wiggins winning the Tour De France, Rory McIlroy winning a Major, the Olympics, Andy Murray last night and with Liverpool FC in the relegation zone, I'm starting to think this might not be Stevie G's year.

Mo Farrah wins.

Pretty funny looking back that the thought of Fat Frank scoring a hat trick in the Final of Euro 2012 for England now seems more plausible than Maybe winning the Derby.

Well he's failed in three of the four, and I doubt even a solid ride of Terry's missus can save him now.

As an aside, I heard Pendleton is 14-1 for Strictly. I have never watched it, but on the basis it sounds like a popularity contest rather than a dancing contest, surely this has to be a bet?

Pendleton is a wee bit nut-nut. You will see her bursting into tears all teh way through...public will go right off her. No chance. One of the blokes will in it... just checked the gymnast Louis Smith will win it. Pile in now. Women will love him and they do all the voting in this.

Are you ignoring Dermots words on how badly Galileos Choice travelled.

He has travelled over especially early to give the horse time to recover....he reminds me so much of Vintage Crop I couldn't resist. The other one is a complete guess but he has been improving on a steep enough curve and seems to be crying out for a trip..
