Ten to Follow Competition 2024-25

Don’t be daft, you’re not slow at all, you’re allowed a life! And boooo to work getting in the way - I was just curious if there were going to be updates or if we need to do our own ( in which case I’ve had it :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:) this is the first time I’ve still got all my horses intact and got some points, yay!!!

Here's everyone's stables and a couple of summary tables with the leaderboard and a list of those horses that have scored points already. Please have a look at both this list and your stable and if you notice any points I have missed let me know, I have been trying to catch up on the ones I might have missed but am sure there are some that have escaped me - and although the spreadsheet is kind of automated with formulas, there are possibly some typos that have slipped past and they would then not update :( . Barjon is currently topping the leaderboard 🎉 but jinnyj is a close second and there are a few others who are already over the 100 point mark too.

Here are the updated tables and stables after today's results, jinnyj is well out in the lead now but ep1987, barjon and coach miguel are not too far behind. Please check your stables to make sure I haven't missed anyone - especially dark horses that I may not know well or any run midweek where I might not have noticed them winning.

Hiya.

Firstly, thanks for all the hard work, mate.

In my Yorick 2 table, Whistle Stop Tour won a 10K race on 8th December. Worth all of 10pts, I'd say :)

Given two replies to stick my money wherever I have decided to donate 30Euro plus to the fund to place a sculpture at the site of the first steeplechase at Doneraile village , North Cork in the name of Talking Horses Forum.
Doneraile Steeplechase is the Facebook page for anyone interested, though it seems to be idle at the moment.

Here are the tables up till today (although please check your own stables as it is very likely I may have missed someone - especially on midweek races where I won't have been watching). Congratulations to jinnyj who is running away with it at the moment, well done also to barjon, coach miguel and ep1987, all of whom have 400+ scores.

I'll post an update at the weekend after Saturday's racing and then again after the festival. Sorry that I haven't been very good at keeping folk updated with this.

Here are the leaderboard and stables before the Festival, jinnyj looks to be difficult to catch at the moment :) but there are a lot of points up for grabs over the next few days. As always please let me know if I have missed any winners or if your stable doesn't have all the points it should have.

Thanks NA - I’ve got so many more points than usual, and nothings dead yet - go me!!

Anyone over 380 points has way too much time on their hands I reckon 😜 ( well done all of you!!)

So there were a lot fewer points today than I had expected, with only Lossiemouth, Golden Ace (well done Marb (or The Fortune Teller are you now?), the only person to have her in a stable) and some points for second and third for Majborough, Romeo Coolio and William Munny. I won't post an updated table yet but will do so at the end of the week.

Thankyou very much. It's nice to get a couple of noteworthy winners in this competition, even if I have little chance of winning it.

I actually had Golden Ace in the paid Tote version of this competition too, so currently sitting 108th in the country for the month of March. It's a shame Go Dante is in my other list, as I'd be even higher up, but anyway.

The dreams still just about alive for this month. Although I am 70 points off the March leaders, so there's still a mountain to climb really. I've a few more cards to play. I have to live in hope.

Points today for The New Lion, Marine Nationale (and place points for Jonbon and Better Days Ahead) so here's the leaderboard as it stands. Well done to jinnyj who is going to be really difficult to catch now.
