They're offering NLNC (No Lunch No Charge) and it's better value than the 10/1 NRNB Sir Gino for the Champion Hurdle.

I know this because I was standing in the self-service check-out queue with Anzadam (who'd apparently opted for the spicy chicken pasta, a bag of prawn cocktail crisps, and a bottle of coca cola) who said to me, and I quote: "that overrated, fence ballooning, gobshite in MY colours couldn't get me off the bit if it feckin started now. I win by five on the 'Billy Idol' and btw I can't wait to see all the Constitution Hill groupies crying as I walk back in."

"That talking horse hasn't half got a mouth on him," I remember thinking as I carried several bags of equine feed outside until realising he'd swapped our lunches around for good measure.

Ah, but I always pretend I don't understand how they work so one of the frankly numerous staff who are there to assist enjoys gainful employment by helping me out!

I'd call it champagne socialism but, having downgraded from Waitrose to Tesco, I guess it's Prosecco Socialism at best.

Walsworth's fooling no one - he pretends to be all Citizen Smith, but the reality is he's more Noel Coward.

Walsworth about to logon to the exchange on an average Tuesday evening....
