It's almost upon us. After Galloping Des Champs romp in the Irish Gold Cup it would seem only bad luck will stop him winning his 3rd Cheltenham Gold. Cup and emulating Cottage Rake, Arkle and Best Mate. looking ahead there's not much coming up through the ranks and a 4th win is a distinct possibility.
Which horses are you most looking forward to see,?

The horses, and race, I am looking forward to most of all is the Arkle clash between Sir Gino ad Majborough. I hope they both get there in top form because if they do it will be a race to savour.
I am also looking forward to Brighterdaysahead heading off in front in the Champion Hurdle with Constitution Hill sitting in behind her and striding past her on the bridle on his way to his second crown.

I ran both State Man's and KDB's races side by side out of curiosity, mainly because I thought the novices appeared to be going a decent pace.

They got to the first level but then Lossie opened up and they drew clear, doing 32/33mph while the novices were going an even 30mph, to the point where they were a long way in front at the point L departed. Townend immediately dropped it to 28mph while the novices started picking it up a bit. KDB started putting in 32mph sections and by the last had overtaken State Man before pulling 2.2s (about 12 lengths) ahead at the post.

I noticed during the race that the chasing group in the CH were about level with the novices in the back straight up to the point were L fell so even comparing KDB with them he has pulled a fair bit clear. DLL is rated 147 so the chances are KDB is at least a mid-150s horse at this stage with the promise of plenty more to come.

155 would win an average Supreme but recent ones have been better than that.

My Mate Mozzie Grand Annual Chase.
Inothewayurthinkin without the fav Gold Cup.
Whatever Emmet runs in a handicap.
Croke Park will rattle whatever he meets in a Novice chase.
Kopek Des Bordes monster material.
Home By The Lee Stayers Hurdle 3 year record 7-5-3; will he do it this year ?
Marine Nationale improving with every run, Danny Mullins ride of the weekend only did for him today.

The DRF took the shine a little bit off for me.

Tuesday I was looking forward to Workahead and Romeo Coolio in the Supreme - I've got the former at nice 20+ prices on the machines and the latter in a couple of tidy ew multis but Mullins fecked that up for me. I'm still all over Lossiemouth but her falls tempers enthusiasm.

Wednesday again Gaelic Warrior, nightmare run yesterday - just hope it was glorified work. I am weirdly looking forward to the XC now it's a handicap.

Thursday and this is weird - my biggest possies of the week may end up being in the Mares Novice. Yesterday I had tracker horses Backtonormal, Monbeg Park and Pinkerton all in the handicap chase so I backed the latter two and B2N was short so I put him in a double with Jubilee Alpha who I like for the aforementioned Novice. She'd be a good winner now so I'll have to find protection with Gav's mare who seems the danger.

Friday my main hope is Only the Night runs in the Mares Chase. Presume she'll take in the Opera Hat - I think she's a monster.
