Well just got back in...what a day! My thoughts from today....
  • Kopek isn’t the second coming, he s a very nice horse but still quite raw.
  • Majborough is also still raw and maybe the 2m exposed the jumping
  • Lossie, dear Lossie is just beautiful and I for one am glad she went for the Mares and regained her confidence.
  • Champion....oh god..who wrote that script? But all hail Jeremy who is literally one of the best guys in racing (I know him quite well as he lives down v near here) and I was one of Jezza’s Army singing and chanting by the winning enclosure (my mum even saw me on the telly box)
  • Myretown I backed as he looked great and his jumping was awesome
  • Puturhandstogether I also backed and he looked great too
  • Romeo Coolio will make a lovely chaser
  • Replacing the amateur riders in the last...they still fell off.
I had an absolutely brilliant day...somehow it was better today. And no loud music bar when they walked in so obviously my email two years ago had some effect!

He has some speed for a Kayf Tara.
Family of Diamond Boy so the O'Keeffe family will be well pleased.
Great to see Harry Skelton come good in a Grade 1 for the family.
His dad was a guest on the Late Late Show 40 plus years ago and said his ambition in life was to be a Jump jockey, not a showjumper. I have been a fan of his since.

Great performance by Lecky Watson on debut. He fiddled, went long without going too high ; he could be very good.
My stopped clock moment for Festival 2025.
We just know Lar Byrne from Festival drunken nights of yore.
He is always good for the crack, having got his eye in as Hardy Eustace's owner.

Just seen that the c/f amount for the Jackpot from yesterday to today is £41,774

Take a bow Baldy, you've really scuppered that bet. Trust you'll be crying all the way to the slots.
