The future

If your on about Armaturk, I think alot of people would have struggled to stay on it, it dived through the fence and the saddle slipped round.

That's the one! - didn't he do it twice or am I imagining things again LOL
If the saddle slipped he's forgiven! - did me a favour anyway <g>

The second time was the owners son, Headstrong but you are right to suggest the similar circumstances. The saddle may have come round Flame but only because the rider was bailing off that way, after several lengthy over-the-shoulder-swivel-head manouevres. But then Armaturk had been a magnificent jumper for about 5 years until Sam Thomas managed a spectacular dismount at Kempton a couple of seasons ago!

From PN's stable tour:-

Armaturk
11g Baby Turk - Armalita Trevor Hemmings B/U35-UF
Not the force he was. He looked the likely winner three times last season when falling or unseating.
Is a good schoolmaster nowadays and I think the plan is for Trevor's son Philip to ride him in hunter chases next spring.

Jack Doyle has now equalled Aidan Coleman's tally of 19 winners.

LSP of +33. Strike rate of 19% compares favourably.

Townend is better than a competent rider for me, in fact I like him more than J. Doyle or A .Coleman.

Felix De Giles 23 179 12.8 57 31.8

Getting tight at the top.

Aidan in excellent form lately, Fahy fortunes have slumped along with poor form from the Evan Williams' yard, almost his only source of rides.

Aidan Coleman in fine form along with his main provider Venetia Williams.

Donal Fahy's season seems to have fallen apart he must be thinking he'll never ride another winner.

Coleman rode out his claim yesterday at Bangor. Fair play to him.

Him and Doyler would get a right kick out of the first couple of pages of this thread were they ever to come across them!

I see at the Lesters last Thursday that, surprisingly, Brian Hughes won the award of Top Conditional.

Other nominees were Aidan Coleman (who looked a choux-in??!!??:) to me), Donal Fahy (who seems to have got into Evan Williams's black book lately, not getting any rides) and one other (I wasn't quick enough to pick them all up).
