The Irish Grand National and other races at Fairyhouse Easter Weekend Apr 3rd -5th

Jerrysback falls under my system of why the hell are they bothering to run him.

I'd love to see Latest Exhibition win it. A hark back to an era when really classy horses won it off top weight.

In a way so would I.it would also enhance Monkfish.form.nothing within 7lb should beat him I wouldnt think.
Looks a good race with quite a few with chances.
I've done Run Wild Fred and Atlantic Shore 50/1.

Have taken Agusta Gold to win.. Will stick Sempo (interestingly campaigned) Robin de Carlow, Brace Yourself and Top Moon in the exacta/trifecta. Good luck!

I have a bit of 40/1 Robin De Carlow from last week. Latest Exhibition is my other fancy.

I took a speculative e/w punt at 40/1 on Opposites Attract yesterday in the hope he puts in a clear round but have mainly gone to war with the Thyestes 1-2 @ 16/1 & 10/1, though there may be a 5p R4 in those prices to come.

The winner was joint-sixth top on my ratings. Should never have been 150/1 but you can't back them all, can you??

Great result for a small stable.
Winner from family of Gaye Brief and Eliogarty so they something to dream about.
Luckily that dream is now a stepping stone to bigger ones.
Trainer also had a winner at Cork so hats off to his stable.

Belatedly looking at the winners previous races, although he didn’t seem to be running well this season his race record is littered with ‘stayed on strongly’ and, unusual for an Irish horse seemed to have been running in 3 mile races right from the start. I really should have picked up on that.

Robin de Carlow fractured her pelvis and due another long spell on the sidelines sadly

Was going great and jumping beautifully.

Hopefully not a life threatening injury but at her age we'll have to consider her future as a broodmare when the time comes to decide whether or not we put her back in training.

Are mares more prone to pelvic injuries? I’ve thought for a long time that it seemed to happen more in mares and fillies.
