The Irish Road To Cheltenham

And another break now !
It's like watching American TV.
(Okay, they say the first ad break was a technical issue, but .........)

The 15/8 over 9 is still a standout price, short as 6/5 elsewhere, but I reckon 8 this year. With the over 6.5 at 2/1 from 2 years ago (weighed in after the CC I think) a distant memory, I think the spread firms have it about right at 7.7-8.1, Corals go 6/4 7-9 winners, would be my choice this time around.

Without hijacking the thread, a couple more festival 'specials' that deserve a mention:

No. of winning Favs - spread firm 7.4-7.8, Betfred & Tote Under 10 5/4

Winning Distances - spread 105-115, Coral over 109 6/4 Simonsig & SS could get the bet half way there between them....

I think Jezki is a serious animal. His price intrigues me no end too

Oh he's serious ok but that MTOY is too....you have to ask if he is such a superstar why did AP not say go for the Champion Hurdle a race he'd much prefer to win? It has to be he thinks he's so good he'll win this standing on his head and looks at it like a bird in the hand.....mind you his record of picking the wrong one is there to be seen

Surely no jockey would get away with it for long if their advice was this self-centered?

By the way, returning to the original subject of this thread, last night's programme showed Peter Casey making it plain months ago that the Gold Cup was the race he most wanted to win with Flemenstar.
