Fair play to the guy who does the TPD page at the ATR site.

He laid out the cases for TNL and against RS this morning.

A seriously good performance from The New Lion there.

Puts him ahead of Potters Charm in the pecking order of British novice hurdlers

Good interview with Darren Yates after The New Lion.Darren initially came to public attention when he won a fortune on Dettori's magnificent seven.Subsequently he became a property developer and earned an even bigger fortune.
Interview was on ATR -definitely worth a watch.

Yes, he was good value and perfect with MC

Very nice performance by The Yellow Clay there. Jasmin de Vaux really needs to brush up on jumping...he was poor on debut too.

Here's another bit of nonsense sparked by the bookies:

Surely the bookies are it here and hyping a donkey to attract mug money?

Maybe Tanlic has heard something from his old contacts and can put us right but this smells to me.

While recognising that I don't trust RPRs where French hurdlers are concerned, it has to be pointed out that this horse only has a hurdles RPR of 90. It's something like 8/15 for this race on Saturday when there is one rated 138 in it and the Burdett Road people have a well-regarded Flat recruit in it too. I sense a betting opporchancity...

The only thing he did right was win. More pace and better ground could see a different beast.

According to RP, Henry de B's Workahead goes straight to Supreme NH at Festival after his Dec 26 win at Leopardstown; shades of Distriero for the older among you.
His Christmas run looked like a good race.

He won his point easy. Guessing he might be a little tricky to get right with this campaign

Just noticed Mister Meggitt has been scratched from all the novice hurdles at Cheltenham

Anyone know if he's injured, or being aimed at Aintree?

Lulamba has been on their radar since well before he arrived at the beginning of the month...he was only in the country 2 weeks and won at Ascot and already race fit. He had a huge advantage over the others so he won easily as expected. He will find East India Dock a whole lot tougher and they are confident he will prove to be the best novice in training come March. Runs on Saturday all being well 10/11 is a gift

Apparently they’ve another at home, Palladium? Who’s also special. (Won German Derby I think?)

I dunno, if you just tuned into the race without knowing the names of the horses, you couldn’t fail to have been impressed by the one who turned out to be called Lulamba who it’s reported by Mark Holder in the RP ran faster than any hurdler on Saturday in the final stretch from the second last. Sure East India Dock was impressive, too and I think it’d be a close call formwise between them at the moment. (Also, James Owen said Lavender Hill Mob was his best, although he hasn’t shown that on the track yet ). Exciting.

Palladium runs at Huntingdon tomorrow (12.47). He’s quoted at 1/6 at the moment.

Nicky has said they’re keen to run him at Royal Ascot in the Hardwicke
