Just watched it last night after hearing so much about it, and I must say I was dissapointed..

Not the worst film I've ever seen by any means (there was some very decent acting no doubt), but I just found it very dull and almost dozed off at some points (anytime I saw the Queen Mother especially)..

This isn't a dig at the Royal Family BTW (I've thought at times the queen has been in our midst on this forum!- no names btw norty ), just at the film..

I would rather listen to Freddie Mercury .......personally speaking......they would have to pay me to watch such shite as this............. :P so a big NO NO.....that's my verdict........ :(

I see I am not alone then.. :D

I'm really not that interested in the Royal Family (okay, maybe that's a stretch..), but even so, I thought the film was rather unimpressive given everything I had heard..

I would be interested to hear the verdict of one more interested in all things Royal than myself..

However, as a personal rule I try not to speak to anyone who reads the Daily Mail (more to do with principles than anything else really).. hope that doesn't rule too many out.. :D

Have to agree. Suckered into renting it because of all the Oscar nominations but found it very disappointing.

1 - It looks incredibly dull

2 - Anything that has Princess "i'm a slutty freeloader" Diana in it offends me by exisiting, unless it is the tv show/newspaper artice I have been waiting for which exposes her as a useless and annoying waste of taxpayers money.

Completely off topic but, I remember reading a long time ago that there was to be a sequel to the film Gladiator, Did it/is it ever happen/happening?

Have to agree that it I did find it very dull..

I also thought that the Queen's husband Philip (is he a prince then?) came across as a pretentious prick..
