I had Medinas (15/2 last night with AFC in the race!!) in a double with Cockney Sparrow but if I'm going to lose out narrowly I'd want it to be to a grand old beast like TB.

It was wonderful to see him enjoying racing and finding a 5th gear just at the finish line like he does. Sam TD so humble all the time, nice to see one so polite.

The atmosphere at Wetherby was amazing with the everyone willing the old boy on as they turned into the straight. And such fondness for Sam; such a popular lad [deservedly so]. A real 'I was there' moment. Magic.

Great to see Tidal Bay proving again what a good horse he is. As Ardross has said, if only Nicholls had had him earlier in his career.

Agree with all of the above.

It has been great to see Nicholls resurrect the horse who won the Arkle years back. Tidal Bay's problems were almost always in his head, and you have to wonder whether the well-publicised 'welfare issues' at Howard Johnson's yard, contributed to a drop-off in his performances. The change in scenery has gone a very-long way to restoring him to former glories.
