In the 5:45 at Lingfield, Silent Act, took 12/5 on Betfair. Surely this is a big price, or am I missing something? :D

A catchy thread title.

On the Betfair forum - Silent act is Nailed On - usually has the desired effect.

Well Done.

I like:

Casela Park 3/1 (Muss 6.30)
Snow Mountain 7/2 (Tipp 7.10)

What happened to Casela Park, Gearoid? I didn't see the race, nor back him fortunately, but I presume it was another duck left, duck right, then run on in the last half furlong? Surely he'll be winning soon...

I presume you mean Snow Watch, Gearoid, Snow Mountain runs in the Phoenix on Sunday and certainly isn't 7/2 for said race :D

I think I might lay Puy D'Arnac in the 20:00 at Haydock. Any thoughts?

He is either a dog or was made to look a dog depending on how cynical you are.

Save the day. Might play up in a small way on Wigmore Hall now that the price is on the slide.

Regal Obligation 5.50 Ballinrobe 8/1

Thepartysover 8.20 12/1

These are my two for tonight, both very fancied to go well

Ballinrobe 5.50
1st 3 Regal Obligation 8-1
2nd 2 Torina (IRE) 7-1
3rd 13 Fearnwood Girl (IRE) 3-1 F

Nice one. Neo! 12/1 on Betfair. Thanks.
I'll play up the winnings on the 2nd fancy which could produce an outstanding evening's punting.

Just before the off The partysover went from 12.5 to30.0 on the machine . He is later pulled up.

Thought I'd bring this thread back to the top rather than start a new one but I think Sing Sweetly looks a very interesting runner in the last race at Kempton, the 5.20. At first glance she looks more exposed than most of these but most of her runs to date have been on turf (0-6) whilst she's won once and finished runner-up once from 2 polytrack starts. When winning her maiden, she looked a proper polytrack specialist with her ability to travel strongly and having always thought the same about Sweet Lightning (who should be aimed at the Winter Derby imo), I looked at the record of Sweetness Herself's other foals. On turf, they have won 9 races from 71 (7.88%) but on polytrack their record is more impressive 8 from 33 (24.2%). I think there's a chance Sing Sweetly isn't half as exposed on polytrack as she looks at first glance, and at bigger than 8/1 on betfair, is worth a few quid to find out.
