Septimus opened up at 20/1 whereas The Wild Swan opened up at 6 or 7/1. The bookmakers were taking no chances today and the very fact TWS drifted out to 8/1 tells me there was no money for it at all as the bookies would have been very weary because it was soooooo obvious a plunge could happen today.

The United States would have been close to the top of my list anyway. Was really taken by him at the Curragh last year.

The fact that he's turning up in the Guineas Trial at Leopardstown in first-time cheek-pieces probably suggests he's not one of the leading lights though.
