I've taken 20's about Ad Idem with the Magic Sign. He's run creditably at the track before, and is crying out for this step-up in trip over fences - his 3m form as a novice hurdler standing a fair bit of scrutiny, imo. His Wins-to-Runs ratio isn't fantastic, but that might be because he's generally been fairly highly tried, and his price allows for a decent place return anyway for e/w backers.

He ran a really good prep for this at Naas on his reappearance, and I think he can be seriously competitive off a mark of 139. I had a sideways look at Rivage D'Or too, and might have a saver on him, but I'm really quite sweet on Ad Idem's chances.

Anyone know if this is a speculative entry, or a declared target?

Cross Appeal's blunder at the last, instead of handing the race to Ad Idem, ended up depriving him of it as he stopped to nothing when left in front too soon on the long Navan run-in.
