Thanks Simon. I liked the winner of the 2.45 as well and his drift made no sense at all. There are two 2m1 handicap chases at Ascot three weeks apart this time of year and Amoola Gold won this last year and in the one in three weeks time he came from the back to almost peg First Flow on the line. Two years ago today this was the race where Capeland jumped the wing rather than the actual fence, and was DQ'd behind Diego du Charmil. Capeland then ran in the the race First Flow won last year, the second of these two handicaps, and he was well detached, similar to AG - but like today the pace collapsed and he came through for the win.
