Haven't they poached Rishi from BBC? Recall him presenting him presenting Golf and other stuff for them,back in the day.

yes he is freelance, and always get the impression he would do any gig if it was more high profile than non festival/classic horse racing
 
My point was that ITV weren't responsible for his improvement.
He certainly asks fewer inane questions,I'd put that down to maturity.

I get heartily sick of these “what does it mean to you” and “how do you feel” questions that are rowed out to all and sundry every time. There’s only so many ways you can say “over the moon”.
 
Agree but then again it’s not an easy job! I have to interview winning connections as part of my reporting job for Wessex Area Pointing and it’s actually hard. You’d think it would be the easiest thing in the world as they are usually pumped with the win but often people just don’t speak. So when I get Paul Nicholls or Luke Harvey, it’s a dream as they just go into autopilot and I just stand there writing it all down.

I couldnt do it with a microphone live on TV!

Megan did look lovely today and she has been better this week especially on the Opening Show. One thing I will say about ITV, they do coach their presenters....look how imp over Rishi is these days.

Charlotte Hawkins always looks stunning...the pink a couple of days ago was beautiful. As was the Princess of Wales today....oh to have a figure like that!

Ditto re POW but if 40 years ago they'd be banging on that she must be anorexic /bulimic. I think she is ridiculously thin. I'd be dead 3 months and still not that thin :(

Have it on good authority that she and William completely disinterested in racing. so wonder what the future of RA will be once Charles gone? Although he's not over fussed, think he would feel a sense of obligation.

Just looking at Cesca in the carpark ,agree, definitely expecting.

Think she needs to learn what absolutely and double mean.
 
That would be a shame if W&K don’t continue it. But at their age, apart from riding in a few races earlier, KC definitely didn’t show a huge amount of interest. Possibly Camilla has got him more involved. Zara could carry on the baton though even though she’s technically not a royal.

Yes but totally not interested I am told. Only showing up for one day this week might show that quite clearly it could be argued.
KC quietly selling/rehoming the Queens' horses, all breeds. We have one at our yard on loan for now. I think he will feel an obligation to his mother's memory but when her last ones retire I think he won't really bother. Camilla will do some for now, but she only dabbles. The Queen obviously a 'serious' owner and no one else in the family bothered to anywhere near the scale of her involvement.

I think they only appeared for one day because of the fact that it was more important to not take away the limelight from K&C? Look at the reception they received when they did come yesterday. I think the Palace are being very careful at the moment hence Camilla wearing very muted colours so she’s not the one everyone is looking at whereas the Queen always wore strong colours so she could be seen in a crowd.

I like Zara a lot. She’s fun but very respectful to her family and she’s an exceptional horse woman who also trains a few point to pointers. I’d heard Camilla loves her racing and while she’s not at the level of QE, she’s still involved and they had several in training beforehand. They may not have the intense passion that QE had (and let’s face it if she hadn’t been a Royal, she probably would have ended up a trainer) but I think the involvement will continue. Probably there were too many and a bit of streamlining looks better in line with his slimmed down monarchy anyway. Just wish they’d do away with the ghastly John Warren!
 
Maybe re Camila but definitely nowhere near the scale of the late Queen, and she's no spring chicken to give breeding operations etc years.

I have a lot of time for Zara too the hands on/breeding owning not really her bag either.

JW , yes odious! I struggled to get my head round why the Q put up with him, I know she sort of inherited him but really obnoxious. As previously said I think on here, I went for job with him and I nearly ended up thumping him.
 
I'm a big fan of Stott but he got that badly wrong. Too far back off a medium pace and trying to catch horses that were quickening. I'm not going to insist he cost her the race but she'd have been placed with better position through the race.

The sections might change my mind but right now I'm miffed.

Didn’t realise that but I can totally believe it! I once showed a yearling for him at the breaking yard I was working at and he said “girl! Bring that horse out now!” I too nearly thumped him. When you consider that he was a stable lad himself and grew up on a council estate, the fact that he’s grander than the RF, beggars belief.

The current obsession with EJH with the presenters too.....a few of you know on here how she and her horrible family curtailed my training career. I have no idea why they continue to fawn over her. I’m patiently waiting for karma...it’s been a long time coming but I understand there’s currently a court case pending on treatment of a member of staff. And I met some girls locally last summer who had all got summer jobs there from their NH job....not one of the four had a nice word to say about her.

I didn't know that re Warren, the council estate bit? That makes him even worse. I had 2 interviews with him, his wife was there for second one and she was as bad. Got to the office and he wasn't there. One of the other girls rang him and he said on the phone it was the wrong day, she was politely trying to tell him it was the right day, I could hear him shouting down the phone at her. She was going redder and redder in the face and looked on edge of tears. I'm mouthing to her 'sorry I'll go', no no she say. He turns up , storms through door and continues to berate her in front of me. I should have walked then really but stuck it out for the morning. One 'job' I had to do was type up the mating plans, he has no clue. Absolutely none.
That job is regularly advertised. Dear Diamond Geezer saw it advertised about a year after I had gone for it and sent me the link 'cos he knew I was trying to get back into a racing/stud job.

Yes me too re EJH- can't stand her. I read about that case, has it not been settled as I read about it a while ago? Involved a pregnant girl if I remember correctly?
