Twitter

I used it for my F1 stuff. On a personal level though, I don't have an account or follow anyone. I regular use search.twitter.com to find out what's gong on in a particular location or on a particular subject.

I am baffled by it

I run a blog to promote my business and that gets across the right views in the right way but for the life of me i cannot comprehend why anyone would want to know when ive had porridge for breakfast or a non-wiper for my daily dump

It is useful when speed of delivery is important - i.e covering real time events or time critical information. Obviously not those events mentioned above by clivex.

It's useful for updates and the like but there is plenty of rubbish up there too, a certain ex-Blue Peter and Radio 5 presenter who seems to have at least 10 updates per day, not required IMO.

Would you not use a telephone for time-critical info, e-mail, or a FAX? Or is that just too mundane today?

I used to follow people of interest as well, granger ~ usually women.

Never thought of using Twitter before though.

Don't know how I would live without Twitter, now ! (Especially since Paddy and Vic migrated all their lovely price enhancements over to Twitter -- and Facebook -- exclusively).

I've signed up as your 18th follower, btw, Granger (I'm Hoofie on there) ............. tho' I'm unsure if I'm comfortable belonging to the same club that tolerates Brad from Cashman's as a member. (The baldy miserable cnut). :D
