UK Racing - What happens next

Should Sounds Russian do the business for Ruth Jefferson this season it could be as big a story as Hewick.
Bred by Vincent O'Brien's half nephew Noel, the horse is related to Merry Gale, a top horse from 30 years ago now.
Noel, a quiet man but great company once he opens up deserves the boost as much as UK racing so fingers crossed for all concerned.

What is the pedigree of a half nephew Eddie?

Yes, he virtually said as much today, citing the poor Cheltenham records of the likes of Silviniaco Conti and clan Des Obeaux while insisting BMG was as good as any of them.

If they dont think he will stay why would they want to run it and possibly ruin it.
Nothing at all to do with bottle.

No point anyway as Hewick is going to win it.

You haven't explained why you don't rate him. He's beaten a fair yardstick in a canter yesterday and that would make him a decent bet in my eyes for the king George.

I thought BMG looked a fine stamp of a horse and you can’t dispute how easy it was for him, even though it didn’t really turn out to be a serious race. As simmo says, Eldorado Allen is no slouch and you can only beat what’s there, which he did without needing to try. You’ve always got two choices - wait for a horse to fully prove itself before you support it, or support it until it proves you shouldn’t have. I think I’m in the latter camp now.

PN seems to have realised that there are a lot of top races to win outside of Cheltenham and that he can’t compete with the Irish runners anyway these days. Good for him.

It's a gradual thing with PFN

This prominent horse augments it and is how he now views racing

Win his trainers title and don't worry about the big festivals

Wasn’t a canter for me as I don’t believe he has anything left when ‘cantering’.

Happy for him to mop up these races and beat other average horses, so can get a price about something else when actually facing some proper G1 horses.
