Yes, I am afraid that Andrew, Warbler and myself are struggling to keep our heads above water from the sheer weight of PMs, edits and deletions (there have been literally several these last few months!).
No seriously, we just thought it would be a good idea to add one more to the fold to help cover the site a bit better. Nobody wants to see spam or wildly off-topic discussions staying for longer than is necessary, but the loss of Galileo, Melendez and Gareth Flynn - who between them were reportedly once not logged on - means that an extra pair of hands would be welcomed.
Qualifications required:
- You spend more time than is healthy on Talking Horses.
- You are [relatively] sensible (although as no criteria for judging exist and I'm in no position to say, I guess this is more one of those self-assessment qualifications).
There's no special technical capability needed as we've still got Gareth for that, and the pay is generous (in an unpaid charity-work kind of way). 99% of the time being a mod is no different from being a poster.
So if you fancy lending a hand or if you think that you know somebody that would be good, post your [or their] name on this thread. Hopefully some form of consensus will form to allow us to duck the responsibility of having to come up with a selection
It has been noted that it has been a while since we've had a female moderator (hint) but I am obliged to say that Talking Horses is an equal opportunity employer*.
*No really, it is unpaid.
Thanks.
