Nothing from the system tomorrow. Today was not a disaster, the main bet was a Non Runner, the 11/4 shot did not win. However the system says that anything over 4/1, is as likely to win as under, so no value in betting them on their own.

7/2 now reet. What a frigger of a horse he is - went in my tracker over 6 last year at Ascot, looked like he needed 7, backed him three times, no dice, took him off the tracker and he wins at Newbury at 15/2. Hate it when that happens. Good luck anyway.

Port Road (5:00 Epsom) generally 11/2.
First run on turf but last two runs on AW were encouraging.
Latest start Hitched who finished behind him won on Saturday.
Previous start Al Ameen who beat him followed up at in his next start.
Trained in Epsom by Simon Dow stays a mile and should go well off the same mark.

Fingal's Hill 4:12 @ Kelso. Seems to quite like this time of year - rattled up a hattrick this time a couple of years ago - and won LTO. I like backing Brian Hughes around Kelso, and hopefully the small number of runners lets him won it from the front. Such a competitive race, though, and has the dreaded Denise price boost.

Flat turf season finally gets going today, 3 meetings.

I have noticed that my system bets tend to get backed, well at least from the night before. I will try and post earlier in future.

One in particular has E 4.25 Sir William, when I first looked 8/1, then 13/2 (took price) now 4/1.

All BOG except Sir William

Y 3.33 Divot 2pts win 8/1 + Something Splendid (see below)
E 4.25 Sir William 3pts win 13/2

Thirsk

Looks like 6.00 and 6.30 has been made into 2 divisions, consequently the prize money is that of a class 6 handicap, which the system says avoid. But as it's stated to be a class 5, I will risk a couple of points.

6.00 Temper Trap 1pt win 10/1
6.30 Copper And Five 1pt win 10/1 + Harlem Nights 1/2pt win 4/1 saver

1.50pts win double
7.00 Cavern Club 11/4
7.30 Against The Wind 11/4

0.25pts win Trixie
Y 3.33 Something Splendid 3/1
T 7.00 Cavern Club 11/4
T 7.30 Against The Wind 11/4

Just realised I have not staked enough on the Trixie should a double part come up with Something Splendid so I have done another 0.25pts win Trixie on them.

Typically Against The Wind 3/1, my last selection wins and I am not on him.

Lost 10pts today, which is disappointing, but not a disaster. My system rules say don't bet in uk races with Prize money less than £4187 (Class 5 races), so what do I do, ignore my own rules and cost me 2.50pts.

I am also beginning to wonder if I should leave races where I have more than one selection.

Probably the biggest disappointment today was the run of Sir William backed in from 8/1 to 7/2. Well I have possobly got another one tomorrow at Catterick 4.04 Red Mirage has been backed from 17/2 into 7/1 (odds I have taken 2.50pts win). I might have a selection in the 5.10, but I will see what price in the morning, otherwise that will be it for the day.

Red Mirage is a Non Runner, the only other horse I was interested in was Mojomaker (C 5.10) even at 4/1 last night I questioned the value, but I can easily have a day off at 11/4. Watch it go and win now 😃.

Perth 16:33 - I put Heltenham up the last day. Think he hard a hard race (I like bold mid race moves but that one was a bit too bold - think he would have won with a little less aggressive ride). I like the look of Dubai Days here - 13/2 Bet365 - 3 places.

The appropriately named Burning Cash is my only selection today. It's showing as yet another steamer on OC apparently 12/1 last night.

B 2.15 - Burning Cash 2pts win 9/1

Im also against Heltenham for the same reason but Doctor Ken is the one that caught my eye. His last run behind Es Perfecto (giving 12lb) reads well with that one having run well at Cheltenham and winning at Sandown

If Not For Dylan in the Highlands National (14.05 Perth) today. Has a decent record at Perth and won this race 2 year ago from 3lbs lower. Had some time off since then but came back and won LTO. Lucinda has had a winner each of the past 2 days - admittedly from heaps of runners - so fingers crossed this continues the streak.

Mahons Glory 1.50 Sandown tomorrow
Has won his last 2 races in the style of a progressive chaser.
Looks a natural over fences and can hopefully out jump the opposition from a prominent position.
Looks a decent bet at attractive odds.
Currently best price 16/1
